IssueDesk privacy policy

IssueDesk is a Shopify app made by Fantasium Media. This policy explains what information IssueDesk collects when a merchant installs it, how that information is used and protected, and how it’s deleted.
Information we collect
From Shopify, through the permissions you approve at install:
- order details, so issues can be linked to orders and line items
- the customer’s name and email address on those orders
- your shop’s details, and the names and emails of staff who use the app
Created in IssueDesk by you and your team: issues, timeline entries, notes, comments, attachments, team profiles, notification settings and your plan.
How we use it
Only to run IssueDesk: linking issues to orders, showing them to your team, sending email notifications to your staff, and managing your subscription. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone for marketing or advertising.
Service providers
- Shopify runs the platform IssueDesk is part of and handles billing.
- Fly.io hosts the app and its database in the United States.
- Resend delivers IssueDesk’s notification emails.
Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on Fly.io in the United States. It travels over HTTPS/TLS, and database access requires credentials.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while IssueDesk is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify notifies us and your store’s data is deleted automatically. We also act on Shopify’s customer and shop data-deletion requests (customers/redact and shop/redact).
Your rights
- See your data in IssueDesk at any time.
- Delete it by uninstalling IssueDesk.
- Ask us for an export, or for deletion without uninstalling, by emailing the address below.
- If you’re in the EEA or UK, you also have a right to data portability and can complain to your data protection authority.
GDPR roles
Merchants are the data controllers for their customers’ information. Fantasium Media acts as a data processor and handles personal data only as needed to provide IssueDesk.
Children
IssueDesk is for merchants and their staff. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
