How winners are invoiced, what happens when a buyer doesn't pay, and how strikes and blocks work.
Every sale gets an invoice
When an offer is accepted, an auction is won, or a shopper uses Buy It Now, AuctionDesk creates a Shopify draft order at the agreed price and sends the buyer an invoice. The item is reserved for them while they pay.
The invoice comes from your store through Shopify, so the buyer checks out as usual. AuctionDesk sends reminders before the deadline.
Track payments
Payments lists every invoice, split into Awaiting payment, Paid, and Lapsed or cancelled. From an invoice you can resend it or cancel it.
When a buyer doesn’t pay
If the deadline passes, the invoice lapses: the draft order is removed and the item is released, ready to list again or, on Plus, to offer to the next bidder.
Strikes and blocks
A buyer who lets an invoice lapse gets a strike. After repeated strikes, they’re blocked from making offers and bidding in your store.
Blocks only apply to your store. To reverse one, open Buyers → Blocked and choose Unblock, which also clears their strikes.
Buyer emails
Buyer emails, like offer replies, outbid notices and win notices, come from “Your store via AuctionDesk”, with replies going to your store’s contact email. Shopify sends the invoice itself from your store.
