Taking offers

How shoppers make offers, how you reply, and how to set rules that handle offers for you.

How shoppers make an offer

On a product listed for offers, shoppers click Make an offer, enter an amount and an optional note, and send it. They get an email confirming you received it.

Reply to an offer

New offers show under Offers → Needs reply. Open one to see the buyer’s note, your price, and the history so far. Then:

  • Accept. The buyer is invoiced at the offer amount.
  • Counter. Enter a counter amount and an optional note. The buyer gets an email to accept or decline it.
  • Decline. The buyer is told the offer wasn’t accepted.

Offers expire if nobody answers in time.

Let rules handle it

Each listing can have:

  • A hidden floor. Shoppers never see it.
  • Auto-accept and auto-decline rules based on the offer amount.

Offers that fall between your rules wait for you to reply.

After an offer is accepted

The buyer gets a Shopify invoice with a deadline to pay. See Invoices and unpaid buyers.

Plan limits

The Free plan includes 10 accepted offers a month. Pro and Plus have no limit.
