AuctionDesk

Your data and uninstalling

What AuctionDesk stores about your store and your buyers, and what happens when you uninstall.

What AuctionDesk stores

  • Your listings, offers, bids, auction results and invoice status
  • The name and email shoppers give with an offer or bid, and their offer notes
  • Strikes for buyers who let invoices lapse
  • A log of emails sent to buyers. Each recipient’s address is removed after 90 days.
  • Your plan

To limit spam, AuctionDesk keeps a one-way hash of a shopper’s IP address, never the address itself.

AuctionDesk doesn’t sell your data or share it for advertising. The full details are in the AuctionDesk privacy policy.

Where it’s kept

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Fly.io in the United States, encrypted in transit. Emails are sent through Resend.

When you uninstall

Shopify asks AuctionDesk to erase your store’s data 48 hours after you uninstall. All listings, offers, bids, buyers and email logs are then deleted. Draft orders already created stay in your Shopify admin.

When a shopper asks you to erase their data, AuctionDesk removes their name, email and offer notes.

Ask for a copy or a deletion
